POND ISLAND--Businesses are urged by Economic Affairs Minister Stuart Johnson to take part in the National Accounts Survey being conducted by the Department of Statistics STAT.
Through this survey, STAT is collecting financial information from a sample of businesses and foundations to measure recent economic developments. These entities received the survey in October 2018 and, by law, respondents have two months to submit the completed data to the department.
STAT will process the received data with the strictest of confidentiality, said Johnson. The information will help the department compile official statistics such as the gross domestic product and real growth of the country.
“We appreciate the cooperation the department has received thus far and I encourage all remaining entities to make sure that they complete and submit the forms ahead of the deadline,” said Johnson in the Council of Ministers press briefing on Wednesday.
