ST. EUSTATIUS--Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Lynch Plantation School held their eleventh annual memorization during Saturday’s service at the SDA church.

Their teacher said that it was a “buzz” for the last two months getting the students prepared for their annual memorization programme, during which the children memorized scriptures from the Bible. The theme for this year was “Jesus is always on time.”

The programme commenced with songs by students and teachers, after which the three-year-old children started off with their memory verses, much to the Church’s delight. Groups one through eight also recited their memory verses down and songs beautifully. This led SDA School principal Laverne David-Duggins to comment that this showed that “Jesus is always on time.”

During service plaques were given to David-Duggins and to Felecia Stoel-Schmidt for their dedication over the years in helping the children prepare for memorization.

Pupils performed a skit and Khalid Duggins sang a song before the finale consisting of a performance by the mass school choir, under direction of Stoel-Schmidt.

Resident pastor Virgil Sams thanked the parents, teachers and above all the pupils for carrying out “such a wonderful programme” in “letting everyone know that the Bible is as true as it was in Bible times.”
