COLE BAY--St. Maarten Police Force KPSM detectives arrested a man N.J.T. on Friday for his alleged involvement in a string of armed robberies in Cole Bay and the surrounding areas that occurred between March and July.
“The suspect, who lives in the district, was arrested in the early morning hours by the detectives and without incident. After the arrest, a search was conducted in the home of the suspected robber, during which several items were confiscated,” said police in a press release on Monday.
T. is incarcerated pending further investigation. Police have declined to comment on the number of armed robberies the man is suspected of.
“We would like to remind the community that the more we all come together to assist the police, the faster the robber(s) can be apprehended,” said police.
