COLE BAY--Emergency services were dispatched to the junction of Welfare Road and Windsor Road in Cole Bay around 12:45pm Sunday, because a motorbike collided with a white Hyundai i10.
According to police, the car was coming out of Windsor Road and making a left turn onto Welfare Road heading in the direction of Simpson Bay. At the same time, the motorbike was travelling on Welfare Road in the direction of Osborne Kruythoff roundabout. The vehicles collided, causing severe damage to both vehicles.
The drivers of both vehicles were treated at the scene by personnel of the Ambulance Department and were later taken to St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) for further treatment. However, both drivers did not sustain critical injuries, said police on Sunday night.
The Traffic Department of the St. Maarten Police Force KPSM is busy with this investigation.
