SYNOPSIS:
A weakened Atlantic high-pressure system will maintain gentle winds across the local area and limit precipitation today. However, instability caused by developing troughs at different levels of the atmosphere and a moist east-southeast to southeast wind flow will bring abundant moisture to the region, increasing the chances for shower activity tonight through the weekend.
Long-period swells are expected to abate by 6pm today. However, until then small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
