SYNOPSIS:
Despite a weak tropical wave moving through the region, low moisture levels and unfavorable upper-level winds will limit shower activity across the local area during the forecast period. The Atlantic high-pressure ridge will maintain gentle to moderate winds.
Seas will remain slight to moderate during the next few days.
STATE OF THE SEA: Slight to Moderate WAVES/SWELLS: 4 to 6 feet
SPECIAL FEATURES: A broad area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave is producing a small cluster of showers and thunderstorms over the central tropical Atlantic Ocean. Some slow development is possible through the end of the week while this system moves quickly westward to west-northwestward at about 20 mph, likely reaching our local region by Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
