SYNOPSIS:
The weakened Atlantic high-pressure system will influence dry conditions and decreasing winds across the region.
Large period swells generated by major hurricane Larry will produce hazardous sea conditions through mid-week. Consequently, high surf and small craft advisories remain in effect for St. Maarten until further notice. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise extreme caution.

At 11:00 am, major hurricane Larry continued along its northwest track, further away from St. Maarten. On its current forecast path, Hurricane Larry does not pose a direct threat to St. Maarten.
The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor this system and update the public accordingly.
