SYNOPSIS:
The strengthening Atlantic high-pressure ridge will account for increasing winds. Available moisture and instability across the region are producing isolated showers.
Moderate marine conditions are forecast with seas peaking up to 7 feet. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.

1. At 11:00 am, hurricane Sam was moving further away from St. Maarten, and does not pose a threat to the island. This is the final update on Sam.
2. At 11:00 am, Tropical Storm Victor was located over the eastern tropical Atlantic about 2030 miles southeast of St. Maarten. Victor is moving towards the west northwest at 15 mph and does not pose a threat to St. Maarten.
The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor the Atlantic update the public accordingly.
