SYNOPSIS:

Lingering moisture associated with a recent tropical wave will cause isolated showers and a slight chance of thunder during the early part of this forecast period. Thereafter, a relatively drier and more stable atmosphere will limit shower activity across the region. Additionally, the strengthening Atlantic high-pressure system will account for increasing winds.
Seas will peak near 8 feet during the next few days. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.

STATE OF THE SEA:  Moderate to rough
WAVES/SWELLS: 5 to 8 feet

SPECIAL FEATURE:
At 5:00 am, Tropical Storm Victor was located about 1825 miles east-southeast of St. Maarten, as Victor moves towards the west-northwest at 13 mph. On its forecast track, Tropical Storm Victor is predicted to remain well over 1500 miles east to northeast at its closest point to St. Maarten, early next week, posing no threat to the island.
The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor the Atlantic and update the public accordingly.

OUTLOOK through Monday morning: Partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times with isolated showers.
