SURFACE WINDS:  This afternoon through Wednesday midday: Southeasterly with a light to moderate breeze of 06 to 14 mph.

 

SYNOPSIS:  

A weakened Atlantic high-pressure system will maintain gentle winds across the region, today through tonight, precipitation will also be limited as a result due to the relatively stable conditions. However by Wednesday, instability caused by developing troughs at different levels of the atmosphere and a moisture surge from the east will begin affecting the region, increasing the chances for shower activity.

Long-period swells are expected to affect local waters through the next 24 to 36 hours. As a result, small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.

 

STATE OF THE SEA:  Slight to Moderate       WAVES/SWELLS: 4 to 6 feet

 

SPECIAL FEATURE:  None.

 

OUTLOOK through Thursday midday: Generally cloudy with isolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms.
