PHILIPSBURG--The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise with the assistance of its key sponsor Motorworld has donated 450 school bags to the Hillside Christian School’s Asha Stevens Campus in Cay Hill and Helmich Snijders campus in St. Peters.

Some members of the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise including Members of Parliament (MP) Siddharth “Cookie” Bijlani and Claret Conner and representatives of Motorworld Jacqueline Louis and Lorenzo Gomez, visited the campuses to make the donation. The group visited several classes and handed out the bags to children individually.

President of the Rotary Club of  St. Martin Sunrise told the pupils that “basic education is crucial to achieving success. With this gesture we want to provide you with a few tools to help you on your way.”

The Club said the pupils were excited and thanked the donors for their gifts. The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise has been donating school bags with books, pens and pencils to various schools with the help of their sponsors over the past five years.
