School bus owners host first appreciation day

The group will be hosting the appreciation day every year from now on.

 CUL DE SAC--St. Maarten School Bus Owners Association (SSBOA) hosted its first school bus driver appreciation day at John Cooper/Jose Lake Sr. Ball Park in Cul de Sac on Wednesday, in honour of past and present drivers who have been transporting children in St. Maarten for more than fifty years.

According to SSBOA, the drivers made a great contributed to the overall development of St. Maarten.

Minister of Education Wycliffe Smith was on hand to congratulate the drivers and association for hosting the day. He commended all drivers past and present who have contributed to transporting students to and from school for the past 50 years.
