PHILIPSBURG--Social and Health Insurances SZV and the Collective Prevention Services (CPS) hosted an information session about medical insurance coverage for patients who have chronic illnesses on Thursday, November 1.

SZV presented the coverage entitlement and scope of the Sickness Insurance ZV to representatives of the St. Maarten Cancer Foundation, a representative for cancer patients and the Business and Professional Women of Concordia. An overview of the ZV medical insurance coverage is available on the website

www.szv.sx .

“Hosting the information session to the groups was informative for SZV. We learned about the questions, concerns and sometimes misconceptions that exist among our insured clients. We were happy to give answers and give advice to the attending representatives. It is our aim to inform our insured clients about what they can expect from the coverage of their medical insurance and other services SZV provides,” SZV Unit Manager Customer Care and Communications Parveen Boertje said.

SZV regularly hosts information sessions with employers for their employees, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and various community stakeholder groups, it was stated in a press release on Tuesday. “The sessions are a welcomed opportunity to share information directly with customers, increasing awareness and presenting the various self-service options.”

SZV has hosted several public information sessions during the past two years, on the topics of ZV insurance, medical expenses, AOV pension, employer obligations and medical referrals. SZV plans to host more public information sessions in 2019 together with NGOs and community councils.
