Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Silveria Jacobs and a St. Maarten delegation comprising Policy Advisor Fabiana Vanterpool-Arnell and Department of Education head Ruth Linger travelled to Cuba on March 26 to attend the Kingdom Higher Education mission. Jacobs will be met by the Ministers of Education of the Netherlands, Aruba and Curaçao. The visit will incorporate group discussions centred on topics such as education, youth, culture, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), and sports. The delegation visited a university in Santa Clara, Cuba, with the hope of creating cooperation between the countries.
