ROAD TOWN, Tortola--The unique Virgin Gorda Easter Festival celebration will kick off when a bevy of beautiful and talented teens vie for the title of Miss Teen Virgin Gorda Easter Festival on Saturday, March 2, according to a press release from the British Virgin Islands (BVI) Tourist Board.
The Virgin Gorda Easter Festival, now in its 57th year, is an annual event that culminates over the Easter weekend and showcases BVI culture in pageantry, cuisine, musical entertainment, exhibitions and pure revelry.
The pageantry continues with the Prince and Princess Show on Saturday, March 16, and the Miss Virgin Gorda Show on Saturday, March 23. The action begins to heat up from Saturday, March 30, with a car show, a cultural food fair and the opening of the Festival Village, featuring live entertainment, mouthwatering local cuisine and beverages, the release states.
Action continues Sunday, March 31, with the family-friendly Ralph T. O’Neal Hat Parade and the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The evening concludes with Village Entertainment and a Wet Fete. The Virgin Gorda Easter Festival will culminate with revelry in high gear on Easter Monday, April 1, with the Rise and Shine Tramp, Easter Festival Parade and the Last Lap, with the final night of entertainment at the Festival Village.
