PHILIPSBURG—The 2023 St. Maarten Futsal Association Championship kicked off with four games at the L.B. Scott Sports Auditorium Sunday.
X-FILES clobbered RISC Takers 7 – 3, SXM Stars squeezed past Dways Ballers 5 – 4, CVFB had a field day over Eleven Boys winning 12-4 and the Over 40 Vets steam rolled A Stream United 14-5. This season the competition features eight teams that are divided into two groups. Group A features X-Files, Eleven Boys, RISC Takers and CVFB. In Group B are SXM Stars, Dways Ballers, A Stream United and Over 40 Vets.
Matches will be played at the Sports Auditorium on Sundays from 2:30 to 8:30pm. The St. Maarten Futsal Association is now registering boys and girls for the youth league and women for the upcoming Women’s League.
