CURACAO--The Risctakers Football Club Under 9-years old Team placed second in the Centro Juve Football Tournament in Curacao last weekend. Their Nael Messaoudi of the U 9 squad was the team's top scorer and second in the division with six goals netted. The Risctakers traveled with three teams to Curacao fielding in addition to the U 9 team also a U 11 squad and a U 13 team. In total 36 young athletes with 8 coaches made the trip. Other teams included Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten. The Risctakers U9 team advanced to the final and placed second. At the end of the first round matches, the U9s were tied with a club from Curaçao (New Song FC), explained Sofiane Messaoudi, Head Coach, U9 FC Risctakers The organizers had to resort to a play-off match of 2 halves of 7 minutes each, while a classic match had to last 2 halves of 15 minutes. The play-off match took place on Saturday morning. The FC Ristakers U9s won 1-0 thus propelling the team into the semi-finals. The semi-final confrontation took place a few hours later against the 1st in the standings of Pool B, Centro Juve B. Takers won 1-0 and advanced to the final. They faced Centro Juve A and lost 4-1. The U 11 squad placed third in their pool and the U13 group made it to the semifinal.
