Seven year old Carlos Bryson youngest cross country winner

CUL DE SAC—Seven year old Carlos Bryson was the youngest runner in the National Cross Country Championship that took place at Emilio Wilson Park, January 3. Bryson was won of 25 athletes to compete in the run.


  Bryson won his division running in the Boy’s 10 and under group. Ejomar Shillingford placed second.
  Chanel Richardson took top honours in the Girl’s 10 and under.  She was followed by Ejanee Shillingford.
  Boys and girls in the 10 and under and the 11 to 12 age brackets ran one kilometer.  The 13 to 14 group ran two kilometers and the 15 to 17 group ran three kilometers
  Two clubs participated in the run. Represented were Dynamics Track Club and Lab Sports Academy.
  The St. Maarten Amateur Athletic Association hosted the Cross Country run as part of the lead up to qualifying for the Carifta games in 2016 in Grenada.
Levar Pieters won the Boy’s age 11 to 12 group.  Shemar Pink was second and Lenfort Chamiguenko finished third.
  Aleandro Collins won the Boy’s 13 to 14 age group.  Joline Williams won the Girl’s group.  Chantal Hughes was second.
  Leshawn Brown took top honours in the Boy’s 15 to 16. He was followed by Dalton Samuels.
  Shakeba Pink won the Girl’s 15 to 16 group while Dominic Fraser took the boy’s 17 to 18 win.   Meshack James was second.
