PHILIPSBURG—Healthy living options and a display of the organized sports on the Island will be showcased at a Sports Open House Saturday, September 12 from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
The Open House organized by the Department of Sports with the St. Maarten Sports Federation will be held at Raoul Illidge Sports Complex.
The Open House will give the sporting community an opportunity to extend their reach to a larger population by increasing awareness of and participation in sports, that will hopefully matriculate into a healthier St. Maarten.
There will be a number of exhibition games that will not only showcase the various sports but also the facilities available. One of the exhibition games that the Department of Sports is hoping to host is a celebrity match between our Parliamentarians, Ministers and local celebrities.
The Sports Department is also committed to a healthier St. Maarten and will also have exhibitions promoting healthier lifestyle options.
