The St. Maarten Junior National Team (U-19) has made it to the final of the Leeward Islands Basketball Association Championship in Montserrat.
In the semi-final St. Maarten faced Antigua and won 60-50. However the team reports, “we have sustained lots of injuries, which will make it difficult for us to attack full force.” St. Maarten is 3-1 in the competition having beat St. Kitts 96-80 and Nevis 103-49. The team’s only loss was 99-79 to British Virgin Islands.
