St. Maarten represented at 24th Puerto Rico Open

MIDDLE REGION--The King Yen Tae kwon do School in Middle Region under the direction of Grandmaster Theo Liu is once again preparing for international competition.
  The school will represent St. Maarten at the 24th Puerto Rico International Open Tae kwon do Championship March 18 to 19.


  The team will meet athletes from Aruba, Barbados, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, St. Croix, St. Thomas, Surinam, USA, Venezuela and host Puerto Rico.
  “Our team consists of 15 selected athletes, ranging in age 6 to 18 years,” said Grandmaster Liu. “We want to give our St. Maarten athletes the great opportunity to acquire international experience in a one of kind event where only the best athletes meet.”
   Also traveling with the team will be three team officials including International team coordinator and physical therapist is Paulien Vuijst and nine parents.
