AIRPORT--Fifty-nine people attended last week's workshop for the Red Cross' home repair programme and received vouchers to buy materials at local hardware stores to fix their homes damaged by the 2017 hurricanes.
According to the local Red Cross, during the next few weeks the organisation will invite more people who have registered and have had their homes visited by teams to attend the weekly workshops and receive vouchers. “If we have visited your home, you can expect a call from us soon to let you know whether you have qualified for the programme,” said the group on Saturday.
Persons whose homes still need repairs in or around Cay Bay, Cay Hill, Cole Bay, Dutch Quarter, Fort Willem, Middle Region, St. Peters, Over the Bank or Sucker Garden are encouraged to call 545-2333 to register
