PHILIPSBURG--St. Maartener Jamal Cummins, a recent recipient of an honorary Doctor of Christian Leadership and Humanities Civil Society degree, will launch his second book, 31 Days of Wise Dominion, at Ms. Lalie Commercial Centre at 7:00pm Wednesday.
Cummins said the aim of this second book is “to motivate and challenge the mind-sets of those that are ready to play at a higher level. These 31 Days of Wise Dominion will help you grow in the wisdom and knowledge of Christ.”
He said he tries to read a proverb every day, because the Bible Book of Proverbs contains many great wisdom tips from Solomon.
“My intent with this book is to help others use this same idea to help them in their day-to-day life. … As believers, we are constantly put in the fire, but God keeps us from being burned. … I believe God's original intent was the have us not just live in dominion, but wise dominion.”
Cummins recently received his two honorary doctorates at the Productive Business Summit and Golden Rule Global held in Gilbert, Arizona.
The resident of Alabama and United States Army veteran was one of four persons appointed World Civility Ambassadors at the World Civility Day Community Civility Counts Awards Dinner in April.
His first book is How To Get Something Out of Nothing – 21 Power Plays of Serial Entrepreneurs.
The book launch, at the centre named for Cummins’ late grandmother Eulalie “Ms. Lalie” Meyers, is open to the public. Copies of the book cost US $10.
