State Secretary Blokhuis visits St. Eustatius, Saba

SABA/ST. EUSTATIUS--State Secretary of Public Health, Welfare and Sport Paul Blokhuis paid a working visit to St. Eustatius and Saba.

The State Secretary and his delegation arrived in St. Eustatius on Monday afternoon around 3:00 on a Winair-chartered flight out of Saba.

Upon his arrival in St. Eustatius at F.D. Roosevelt Airport the state secretary was welcomed by Acting Government Commissioner Mervyn Stegers. During his stay on the island Blokhuis will visit a number of care facilities.

In Saba, he also visited the Henry Every Old Age Home and youth-care and after-school facilities. As Saba is an official Youth at a Healthy Weight municipality, Blokhuis also visited the Johan Cruijff Court in The Bottom and the outdoor fitness facilities on the island. To set the right example, the state secretary hiked up Mt. Scenery to visit the highest point in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
