WEATHER:   This afternoon through Wednesday midday: Partly cloudy with a brief local shower possible.

SURFACE WINDS:  This afternoon through Wednesday midday: East-southeasterly with a gentle to moderate breeze of 08 to 16 mph.

 

SYNOPSIS:  

A relatively drier atmosphere across the region will restrict precipitation. Meanwhile, the high pressure system located northeast of the local area will maintain gentle to moderate winds.

 

Hazardous seas across the region are diminishing, however long-period northerly swells are still occurring today. Therefore, high surf and small craft warnings remain in effect until tonight. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to avoid open waters. Persons with interests along the coast should secure their interests where possible and exercise extreme caution.

 

STATE OF THE SEA: Rough          WAVES/SWELLS: 08 to 11 feet
