Radio announcer wins over $64,000 with Pick 4

Very happy winner Renford Kelsick with his cheque.

ANGUILLA--Popular radio announcer Renford Kelsick is the lucky winner in the Caribbean Lottery Pick 4 game. He won EC $64,494 and says he is ecstatic with his win.

“I am all excited!” he declared. “Now I have bills to pay!” He said he would put the remainder of his win aside, saving for “a wetting” (a rainy day). The married man is a member of the Lions Club and travels to other Caribbean islands in that capacity, so the funds will come in handy.

Kelsick chooses more or less the same winning numbers each time he plays – either the year of his marriage, or his car licence number. He has been playing Pick 4 every day since its inception. This time the numbers proved to be a winning combination. “We are delighted that one of our Caribbean Lottery players will now have a great financial boost,” said Paula Williams, Site Operations Manager, Caribbean Lottery. “Pick 4 is a very popular game. We at the Caribbean Lottery warmly congratulate Mr. Kelsick and wish him and his family all the best as they enjoy their win.”

There are four Pick 4 draws per day: morning, midday, sunset and evening. Players can select numbers in advance; and tickets may be purchased up to five minutes ahead of each draw. The Caribbean Lottery advises players to check their play slip before handing it to a Lottery retailer.

Kelsick has been a news reader at Radio Anguilla for many years. A few years ago he retired but that does not mean he has stopped working! He is still often heard on the radio when an announcer is needed. He has three children and three grandchildren.
