Relational abuse talks  

 

St. Eustatius Police Chief Inspector Robelto Hodge and Anti-Violence and Community Activist Quentin Walcott spoke at a stakeholders meeting in Axum Cafe on Wednesday night.

Safe Haven Foundation organised the event as part of its Domestic Violence Awareness Month programme. Valerie van Putten moderated the event that focussed on personal stories around toxic masculinity, violence and individual and community responsibility around violence. Walcott will be the keynote speaker at a lecture in Philipsburg Community and Cultural Centre today, Thursday. An Activist Day is planned for John Larmonie Centre on November 24 and an Awareness Walk for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls on November 25.
