Sharing is caring

Engage Caribbean Gems Trash Run winning team Pain Cave Tribe recently shared its US $1,000 winner’s prize with Safe Haven and Animal Defenders Foundation, presenting each with a $500 donation. Safe Haven provides free shelter, counselling and supportive services to women and their children are victims of domestic violence.

Animal Defenders is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to care for and minimise the suffering of stray and abandoned animals. The contributions were made possible by Engage Foundation’s partner Caribbean Gems. The Trash Run took place on September 23, with six teams collecting a total of 3,144 pounds of trash along the route from Raoul Illidge Sports Complex to their zones in the districts of Cole Bay, Simpson Bay and Cay Bay. The Second Annual Engage Caribbean Gems Trash Run will take place in September 2019 and will cover other districts.
