CAY HILL--The St Maarten Netball Association hosted there second annual Netball Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the Belair Community Center Sunday.
The awards were divided into three groups, youth, junios and seniors.
Tikeha Bourne was named Youth Netball Player The Year. The Netballer Of The Year award went to Shanique Mitchell. Most Decorated Player was Bying fang. Most Disciple Player went to Gelisa Peynado and Most Improve Player was Sonijka James.
In the Junior division Player of the Year went to Natasha Busby. Netballers Of The Year was Leann Ford. Most Disciple Player was Ailana Scafe. Most Decorated Players were Ariel Goberdhan and Tyler Timothy. Most Improve Player was Azareah Bontiff and Player of the Under 19 was Natasha Busby and Kihara Fleming was named Player of the Cayman islands.
Seniors Player of the Year went to Aisha Violenus. Netballer of the Year was Jeanel Landefort and Player of the Battle of the Saints was Delasia Spence.
Coaches special awards went to Maykeya Moore, Zaia Hunte, Shervanna Diedricks and Janae Euson.
Annmarie Ford won the Parent award. School of the Year went to Seven Day Adventist and albers o'Rielly was honoured as the Most Outstanding Player in the school tournament.
Legend awards went to Maureen Welles and Minelva Maduro.
Serives awards were given to Clarice Benjamin, Desiree Queeley, Vennesia Carti, Jaghara Tjam, Katherine Gumbs, Florisca Larocque, Reginald Williamsburg and Lisa Timothy.
Attending the dinner that was sponsored by Windward Islands Bankand the Port of St. Maarten were the netballers, parents, invited guests and both the prime minister and head of sport department.
