Coronavirus no match for God

Dear Editor,

This coronavirus COVID-19 is causing economic destruction and fear and panic for many people in the world.

I pray to God that our small island of St. Maarten does not get affected, because our medical facilities and medicine stock to combat it is very small in the event a serious outbreak occurs.

I personally am concerned, but not scared; reason: worrying cannot help it, I trust in God to protect us.

The 2 world superpowers United States and China have serious issues dealing with it; therefore, we should not expect much from the St. Maarten government. We as citizens have to use the information given to us along with a common-sense approach to protecting ourselves.

But this is what is interesting to me: the masses of people in the world are afraid to get it because no person wants to die. But the masses of people in the world are not afraid to lose their souls, that is the nature of man and our ignorance about Jesus. God forbid, coronavirus only can kill you once and you can get it many times and survive it. But once you lost your soul that is eternal separation from God forever.

People seem not to be afraid of losing their soul. Isn’t that strange? The answer is, we trust in man more than we trust in God and now we are seeing and noticing man’s knowledge is so limited. That is why we all should trust in God.

Education and knowledge are good but they can never save the world.

I do not know if coronavirus COVID-19 is a biological weapon or a disease that occurred for the last 20 years or not. What I do know, God is still in control and when there is no hope always keep hope in Christ. Just a friendly reminder – if you say you trust in God that trust has to be proven in obedience to Him.

Conclusion, coronavirus COVID-19 is no match for God to cure. Do you really trust God to protect you? Because the St.Maarten government cannot. Trust God and obey Him. There is no other way. Choices have consequences, choose wisely.
